What is Pilates?
Pilates is a time tested method of movement that transforms unhealthy movement patterns, targets each muscle group for uniform development and long lean muscles, and addresses flexibility, core strength, body awareness and balance.

Studio Amenities:

  • Pilates Garage is designed with natural lighting and spacious industrial urban décor.
  • Our 3600 square feet area of 3 studio spaces are equipped with full system state of the art Pilates apparatus.
  • Men’s and women’s restrooms, changing rooms, and showers with lockers are provided.
  • Retail fitness apparel and accessories are available for purchase.

What should I wear?
The ideal Pilates outfit: Clothing should be comfortable, form fitting and allow you to move freely. Gripper socks are preferred as they promote safety on the equipment.

Women: Long pants, yoga pants and a tank top or T-shirt. Please avoid zippers, big jewelry or lotions as these can be hazardous.

Men: Mid-length shorts or form fitting pants. Please wear compression shorts underneath.

Do I need Pilates experience?
No! At our studio you will find a wide range of private and group classes, for every level of ability. We do however, recommend taking a private session before classes to assess your unique needs and introduce you to the equipment.

How often should I do Pilates?
We recommend 3 sessions a week to maximize the benefits. However, any amount of Pilates you do will be valuable.

What are the class sizes?
We will have no more than 6 people in the reformer and chair classes, and up to 10 people in the tower and mat classes.

Do men take Pilates classes?
YES! Pilates was originally created by Joseph Pilates for men.

I have an injury, should I have concerns?
As with all special conditions we suggest getting your doctor’s consent before starting an exercise program.

If I am pregnant, can I do Pilates?
Pilates can benefit pregnancy and postpartum women immensely! As with all special conditions we suggest getting your doctor’s consent before starting an exercise program.

Do I need to make reservations and how?
Yes, please sign up in advance for classes to reserve your spot either on our website, in person or by phone.


What are the benefits of Pilates?

How is Pilates different from yoga?
Yoga is rooted in meditation, relaxation, and repetition. Pilates emphasizes attention to detail, precision in engaging each muscle, cueing towards each individual body and a repertoire with fewer repetitions.

POLICIES

24 hr. cancellation policy; 24 hour notice required for all cancellations on sessions and classes; services cancelled 24 hours or less will be charged the total service cost.

Introductory packages available to new clients only.

All packages are non-refundable and non-transferable and have a one year expiration date.

Please schedule for classes online, by phone or in person in advance as classes do fill up.

All sessions and classes are 55 minutes unless otherwise indicated.

Payment must be made in full before each session.

Before your first session please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out a new client intake form.

Gripper socks are recommended and are available for purchase at the studio.
